Why did you choose Dalton State? Originally, I came to Dalton State to complete my core courses so that later I could transfer. Also, I didn’t want to move away from my parents just yet! As time went by, Dalton State really grew on me with such great professors and people I have met along the way. It has been a great experience for me.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being part of the Roadrunner Nation to me means living, smiling, and learning boldly every day!
What do you plan to do after graduation? Furthering my education, of course. I plan to get my master’s and then hopefully my doctorate. Traveling and seeing what life has to offer is on my list as well.
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Being in the Wright School of Business, I have gotten to meet many wonderful professors. It is hard to pick just one. Each one of them have pushed me to better my abilities and myself. Every single one of them have inspired me to “Lead Boldly” in everything that I do and will aspire to do. I would say Dr. Jones and Dr. Helms have been great role models for me as I finish my studies at Dalton State.
What activities are you involved in on campus? I am currently on the executive board for LASO (Latin American Student Organization). I am in charge of the event planning for the club. It has been a great experience so far! I have gotten to meet many wonderful people along the way.
Where is your favorite study spot? The library. The quietness really calms me down, and I can stay focused.
What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? My best memory so far is when I walked the stage at graduation when I received my associate degree. That definitely kept me motivated to stay focused and go for my bachelor’s degree.
What is the last book you read? “The Perfectionists” by Sara Shepard. Everyone likes a good mystery now and then.
Favorite comfort food? Definitely chips! And my mom’s cooking.
Favorite line from a movie? “On Wednesday’s we wear pink.”-Mean Girls
What do you feel most proud of? Being the first college graduate in my family.
What cheers you up? Listening to music and dancing!
Who is your hero? My parents; they have always worked hard for my brother and I and have set the perfect example for us.
What is your favorite childhood memory? Traveling with my parents to El Salvador and learning so much from my background.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I always wanted to be a ballerina.
As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To Run Boldly means be yourself and do not be afraid to let your personality shine. Do whatever is in your power to achieve and accomplish your goals and dreams.
