SGA Candidacy Applications

The Student Government Association is proud to announce that the Spring 2025 Declaration of Candidacy is now open for any students to apply to join the 2025 – 2026 SGA Team! SGA primarily focuses on serving students in whatever way we can. We are committed to uplifting, advocating, educating, and engaging the student body on various topics, and we are looking for new members to help in this process! Below, you will find an overview of information so that you may know for yourself, your peers, your friends, or anyone interested in making a real change at Dalton State!  Election Timeline:  
  • Declaration of Candidacy Applications Open March 4
  • Declaration of Candidacy Applications Close March 28
  • Ballot Announced April 7
  • Ballot Closed April 11
  • Campus Announcement April 14
  • SGA Induction Ceremony April 25
There is also a requirement that new individuals to the Student Government Association attend at least one informational session so that you all may be informed on what SGA is, how it serves the student body, and how you can fit into the organization as a whole! Below, you will find the schedule of our scheduled information sessions you may attend (*please keep in mind that you only have to attend one to be eligible to run). You can join these sessions in person or virtually. Information Sessions:
