Dalton State College presents classic Christie mystery, ‘The Mousetrap’

Dalton State College will present Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” in March and April in the Goodroe Auditorium. Performances are scheduled for March 28-29 at 7:30 p.m., March 30 at 2 p.m., and April 3-5 at 7:30 p.m.

Known for its brilliant surprise finish, “The Mousetrap” has kept audiences on the edge of their seats for decades. Since premiering in London’s West End in 1952, “The Mousetrap” has run continuously, making it the longest-running play in the world.

As news spreads of a murder in London, a group of seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a remote countryside guesthouse. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests discover – to their horror – that a killer is in their midst!

The student production includes cast members Cole Denton, Alana McGaughey, Ella Pattison, Hunter Robbins, Avery Splawn, Zach Williams, and Taylor Wimpey. Crew members are Nathan Randolph, sound; Craig Raper, set design; Laurie Raper, costume design; Ryan Reaves, stage manager and lights. Kim Correll is the director.

The performances are open to the community. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or online at www.daltonstate.edu/theatre. Admission is free for Dalton State students, faculty and staff with a Roadrunner ID.
