Dalton State has developed a new Strategic Plan 2020-2024 that is aligned with the University System of Georgia's Strategic Plan 2024. Thank you to those who provided input to the plan in the spring of 2020 by participating in our forums or completing our strategic planning survey.
The Strategic Plan 2020-2024 is being used as a guide by our campus units to develop action plans.
Please note that the accreditation statement in the Strategic Plan document is now outdated per SACSCOC policy. The updated version, which will appear in the documentation of the next Strategic Plan in 2024, is as follows:
"Dalton State College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate and associate degrees. Dalton State College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Questions about the accreditation of Dalton State College may be directed in writing to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097, by calling (404) 679-4500, or by using information available on SACSCOC’s website (www.sacscoc.org)."
