Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Kris Barton would have to be my favorite professor because he never stopped pushing me as a communication student. Every time I thought I knew something, he would show me I still had more to learn and improve on. Professors like Dr. Barton help students reach their full potential and encourage them to always keep improving.

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? Meeting my husband through being involved in Student Life here at Dalton State of course! Also, planning and implementing various events on campus through my position of Assistant Director on the Campus Activities Board (CAB) is a huge accomplishment for me. It is so rewarding seeing the students that show up at our events who are excited about what we are doing for the student body on CAB.

What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? I love going to basketball games to support our Roadrunners, and I love planning events at Dalton State that are open to the community! I love activities that bring the campus and community together.

Where is your favorite study spot? The CAB office. The other CABbies and students that visit our office always finds a way to de-stress me when studying!

Favorite comfort food? My Ninny’s stuffing. It is always Thanksgiving at her house.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Keep your Head Up” by Andy Grammer. Life (especially college) is all about continuing to try and being positive when things don’t work.

Favorite line from a movie? “You can’t just ask someone why they’re white” – Mean Girls

What is your guilty pleasure? Binge watching Scandal and chocolate… both at the same time equals amazing!

What do you feel most proud of? The hard work that I have put into my education.

What cheers you up? Disney… anything Disney!

Who is your hero? My mom.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Troian Bellisario (who plays Spencer in Pretty Little Liars)

Where is your favorite place to eat? Hibachi or Red Lobster

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A teacher… things sure do change.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? When I hear Roadrunner Nation, I think of transformation. During my time at Dalton State, I have transformed into a more mature, confident, and successful version of myself. Just as I am proud of the transformation I have gone through here at Dalton State, I am equally proud of the transformation that Dalton State has undergone as an institution as well. Dalton State is completely different from when I started college, and I am thrilled to be part of Roadrunner Nation and witness such amazing changes in myself and the institution.
