What do you plan to do after graduation? I would like to continue my education and then teach in the Netherlands to be closer to my family.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Dr. L. Harrelson’s Asian Literature course changed my life. She inspires me. When I become an educator, I hope to embody a fraction of her enthusiasm and passion for her students. Dr. Bruce is a life experience. When I walk into Bruce’s class, I think I know what words mean. During his class, I realize I know next to nothing. After his class, I feel enlightened. I feel the need to mention Dr. Postell, Dr. K. Harrelson, and, of course, Professor Mahoney. All of these educators have greatly impacted my enthusiasm and passion for education and English literature.

What activities are you involved in on campus?  I work as a tutor, supplemental instructor, a member of the Peer Educator Leadership Team, the Senator of Liberal Arts for SGA, the student representative on the Strategic Planning Committee, the Academic Programs Committee and a member of Sigma Tau Delta.

Where is your favorite study spot? The Ellijay Coffee Shop is serene, comfortable and perfect for getting work done. You can find me there every Sunday morning.

Where is your favorite hangout? Atlanta traffic

If you had a theme song, what would it be? It would be a three-way tie between “World’s end Rhapsody”-Nujabes , “Heartbeat” – Suran and “Stand or Fall”- The Fixx

Favorite line from a movie? “You’re gonna need a bigger boat” or “Good journey”

What do you feel most proud of? My son, and that fact that I have not worn a pair of matching socks in the last 25 years.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? Buy the most isolated light house in the world to live in and then hire Benedict Cumberbatch to narrate my life.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I love languages. I would like to learn Korean, French and Spanish.

What cheers you up? Kdramas, Bleach, Samurai Champloo, Star Trek TNG, face masks and my onesie

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Nicolas Cage or Steven Seagal

What is your favorite childhood memory? I remember one time my mom picked me up from school early and we went to the movies. I remember thinking that “this is my favorite day ever.”

Where is your favorite place to eat? Thai Chi Bubble Tea
