Why did you choose Dalton State? I didn't really choose this school. In all seriousness, it chose me. I wanted to try and go farther off to be more on my own, and it seemed like no matter what I did Dalton State kept popping back up. Finally Dalton State was really the only option that made sense for me. It is affordable which is a major plus; it is close to home; and it now has become home to me. I can't imagine being anywhere else right now.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan on trying to go to graduate school and continue my education. I also really would love to travel and check out a lot of the historical places our amazing country has to offer. I am a pretty big history buff.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Favorite professor hands down is Dr. Christy Price. She is an incredible teacher who love her students and pushes us to go outside our comfort zone and really think for ourselves. I really think everyone should try and take her.

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? Biggest accomplishment would either be getting into AOII or becoming an orientation leader. I love all my sisters so much, and I love my job.

Where is your favorite hangout? Probably my boss's office. Stephani is pretty cool about letting me come in there when I need to vent about homework and making sure I stay on track with my studies.

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? Going to the orientation leader conference and getting to represent Dalton State over in North Carolina. The Florida Gators actually recognized us and said they loved what we brought to the conference, which was an amazing feeling.

Favorite comfort food? My mom's chocolate chip pancakes for sure!

If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Shake it Off” by T-Swift.

Favorite line from a movie? “Never tell me the odds!” -Han Solo from “Empire Strikes Back.”

What is your guilty pleasure? Listening to the Hamilton soundtrack.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I would love to learn to sing. My sister sounds like a Broadway star and I sound like that seagull from the “Little Mermaid.” I think that is such a cool talent and would love to be able to carry a tune and not shatter my car windshield when I do.

What cheers you up? Talking to my best friends. They give the best pep talks when I'm feeling not my usual talkative self, and that gives me my mojo back.

Who is your hero? My aunt Susan. She battled cancer for years and never gave up her faith in God and managed to make sure everyone else was OK and had what they needed. She always put others first and kept a positive attitude about it all. I strive to be that positive and be that light for others because of the incredible example she gave me.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Emma Stone. I love her sense of humor. That or if I was in a cartoon movie I would want Ellen to voice me.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Our founding fathers, or Jesus.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A horse jockey/princess astronaut. I had really high goals set for myself clearly.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It means I have this massive family cheering me on in whatever I do and whereever I go. It means so much to me to be a part of this story, which is Dalton State College.
