Why did you choose Dalton State? Dalton State afforded me the opportunity to stay close to home and help care for my elderly grandfather. My grandmother also worked at Dalton State and had nothing but good things to say about the college.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being part of the Roadrunner Nation has allowed me to find peers that share the same interests as me. So to me being part of Roadrunner Nation has allowed me to meet new people and make new friends.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to attend grad school and earn my doctorate in organic chemistry.

What activities are you involved in on campus? I am the president of the chemist society. I am also a member of SACNAS and the environmental club.

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? I received a stipend from the Dalton State Foundation to conduct research last summer. I was also elected president of the chemist society.

Where is your favorite study spot? One of the empty labs on the third floor of Peeples Hall.

Where is your favorite hangout? The tutor room on the second floor of Peeples Hall.

What is the last book you read? “The Infinite Sea” by Rick Yancy

Favorite comfort food? Gravy and biscuits.

Favorite line from a movie? “It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I would like to learn American Sign Language because it would open up a whole new world of people I could communicate with.

What cheers you up? Sitting down with a good book

What is your favorite book? Currently it is “The Darkest Part of the Forest” by Holly Black

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To run boldly means to not be concerned with what others think and to be exactly who you are.
