We are proud to partner with CENTRUM PUCP. Their AACSB-accredited business school is recognized by the QS Online MBA Rankings 2021 as the best ranked in Latin America and ranked 17th globally.
CENTRUM Graduate Business School has been working with Dalton State since 2015 as an institutional partner and host for our Study Abroad Programs in Peru. WSOB students have traveled to Lima, Peru in study abroad programs since 2015. The last in-person study abroad experience was offered in Spring 2020. After COVID-19 restricted international travel, CENTRUM helped the WSOB in designing and offering virtual study abroad programs. Two virtual programs were offered in 2021. The possibilities of virtual collaboration emerged as more institutions embraced remote instruction.
The late Professor Carolina Hammontree, a WSOB Management faculty member, saw an opportunity to collaborate with faculty from other countries. She worked with CENTRUM’s parent institution, Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP) being joint collaborative initiatives for undergraduate-level students. PUCP faculty responded with great interest. Because of the many potential areas of collaboration, PUCP and DSC signed an international cooperation agreement on March 1, 2021. This agreement opened the door for additional collaboration in student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research, and cooperative design of joint courses, conferences, and other academic programs that would benefit students at both institutions. As a result of this agreement, and in addition to our study abroad programs, DSC has engaged in the Meet & Talk program, the (Collaborative Online International) COIL program for undergraduate-level students, and the Digital Week program.
And see how this program has impacted our students. Jamon Green, a recent Management Graduate, shares his recent experience.
