Thank you for choosing the Dalton State Testing Center for your testing needs. We offer a variety of exams to members of our campus and community. Requirements may vary depending on the type of exam you are taking, so be sure to check the requirements for your specific exam on our Exams page

General Requirements for All Testing Candidates

  • The Dalton State Testing Center offers exam proctoring by appointment only. We do not admit walk-in appointments. Testing staff cannot schedule appointments for testing candidates via phone or email. All exams must be scheduled online via the Dalton State exam scheduling page.
    • To schedule the GRE, Praxis, and all GACE exams other than the GACE Paraprofessional exam, visit the ETS website for payment and scheduling. The GACE Paraprofessional exam is scheduled through the Dalton State exam scheduling page.
       
    • To schedule the TEAS exam, visit  ATI website for payment and scheduling.

  • You must bring a valid form of identification to your exam appointment. Testing candidates who cannot provide a valid form of identification will not be admitted into the testing lab.
    • Please note that Dalton State student IDs are only valid for institutional exams (make-up or accommodated exams). All other exams require a valid government ID.

      Valid forms of government ID include:
      • Driver’s license
      • State-issued photo ID
      • Passport
      • Current State or Federal ID Card
      • Naturalization card or Certificate of Citizenship
         
  • Electronic devices, including cell phones, smart watches, tablets, and laptops, are not permitted in the testing lab. Certain medical devices are preapproved for most exams, others require accommodations. The testing candidate’s electronic devices will be locked in a secure locker for the duration of their exam and returned to the testing candidate at check-out.
     
  • Food and Drinks are not permitted in the testing lab. Food and drinks brought to the Testing Center by the testing candidate will be locked in a secure locker for the duration of their exam and returned to the testing candidate at check-out.
     
  • Only test takers are permitted in the Testing Center. No guests of the test taker will be admitted into the Testing Center. Children are not permitted to be left unattended outside of the Testing Center or any other area of the college during testing.
