Welcome to the Dalton State Family! Below you will find your Next Steps by student type:
- Log in to the Nest Portal to register for Orientation! You will receive your class schedule at Orientation. Note that Orientation dates for the upcoming semester are released 2-3 months before the semester begins.
- Start applying for financial aid and scholarships.
- Log in to your Dalton State email account, Roadrunner Portal, and Georgia View. You will find the links to these pages under Quicklinks at the top of the website. To get your credentials click here. Note that you must be accepted to get your login credentials.
- Complete your Residential Life application to live in our state-of-the-art residential hall!

- Submit your Dual Enrollment funding application through this link.
- Complete a schedule adjustment form to register for classes. You can find that form here.
- Explore your options for financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

Note: Post-baccalaureate and Transient students do NOT have to complete an Orientation session.
- Contact your advisor to get registered for classes. You can find your advisor by major here.
- Explore your options for financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

- Students who have not attended Dalton State in 3 or more years must complete an Orientation session. If this applies to you, you will receive an email with the next steps to register.
- Once you have been accepted, you will receive an email with steps to register for Orientation.

Apply online for federal aid and HOPE here (DSC school code:003956). Learn more about what other aid and scholarship opportunities are offered on our Financial Aid & Scholarship web pages. Note: Financial Aid is not applied to your balance until close to the start of the semester.
Tuition must be paid in full by the payment deadline. If financial aid does not cover your full tuition and fees, you must pay the remaining balance by noon on the payment deadline day. Visit the academic calendar for the most current deadline dates.
