Even with the ongoing pandemic, Dalton State was able to hold a safe and fun annual tradition last week. Here are some highlights from Spring Fling:
1. CAB DIY Bracelets
The Campus Activity Board welcomed Roadrunners to the Quad to kick off the Spring Fling by making DIY bracelets. Tables were set up with an assortment of supplies. CAB also offered refreshments.
2. Easter Egg Hunt
Students participated in a campus-wide egg hunt hosted by Hispanic and Latino Outreach. Who doesn’t love free candy? One lucky student even won a $10 Amazon gift card by finding the golden egg!
3. Pot Your Own Plant
Nothing embodies Spring more than becoming a plant parent! After all, plants are the new pets. Students chose their own plants from a variety of options and decorated their pots with paint and stickers.
4. Tie-Dye
Supplemental Instruction hosted a tie-dye event. Students got creative with dyeing a shirt or face mask.
5. It’s Sweet to be Greek
Alongside Spring Fling events, members of AKL, AOII, and AST kicked off Greek Week by hosting an ice cream social at the Quad.
6. Spring Fling Concert
Spring Fling ended with a concert hosted by CAB. Roadrunners rocked out on the lawn at the Quad listening to the indie music performed by Modern Ties. Students and faculty in attendance received a free t-shirt, drinks and charcuterie boards as a snack.
