WHAT IS A ROADRUNNER CARD?
The Roadrunner Card is Dalton State’s official photo ID card that can also be used to purchase items on campus. It is important for you to have your Roadrunner Card at all times while at Dalton State. In addition to being the official ID card, the Roadrunner Card is your roadmap to many services on campus.
WHO CAN GET A ROADRUNNER CARD?
Anyone affiliated with Dalton State is required to have a Roadrunner Card. This includes full-time and part-time students, faculty, and staff.
WHAT FORMS OF ID ARE REQUIRED TO GET A ROADRUNNER CARD?
Because the Roadrunner Card is an Identification Card we require valid, legal forms of ID. The identification submitted must be one of the following: A state issued driver’s license or identification card, a U.S. passport, a U.S. military ID, a U.S. Department of State ID Card, or U.S. Territory ID Card. Foreign students, faculty, staff, and affiliates must present one of the following: Matricula Consular, I-551 Permanent Resident or Resident Alien, or foreign passport.
IS THERE A CHARGE TO REPLACE MY ROADRUNNER CARD?
All students receive one Roadrunner Card free of charge, at the first time of their admission to Dalton State College. Most student receive this at their orientation, but students can get their first roadrunner card at any time in the Campus Services office.
Campus Services will charge $20.00 to replace a card with abnormal wear and tear, a card that has been lost or stolen, or when a student requests a photograph change.
Campus Services will replace, at no charge, any worn and nonfunctioning Roadrunner Card that exhibits normal wear and tear. If a student has not been enrolled for 3 consecutive years, they can request to receive a new Roadrunner Card (free of charge). Students who take semester(s) off or transfer are expected to keep their Roadrunner card in case of return to Dalton State within 3 years.
WILL I HAVE TO RETAKE MY PICTURE WHEN I GET A REPLACEMENT CARD?
Yes. In order for us to maintain an up-to-date database, your photo will have to be retaken.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I LOSE MY CARD?
You can log on to eAccounts 24 hours a day to report your card lost or stolen. Log in (you must create an account if you do not have one) and go to “Card Services” and click “Deactivate Card.” This will immediately stop anyone from accessing your account. To restore your account choose “Activate Card”. You can also call or stop by Campus Services.

WHAT IS ROADRUNNER CASH?
Roadrunner Cash is a convenient, secure, widely-accepted way to pay for all of your day-to-day expenses as a Dalton State student or faculty/staff member. Essentially, you deposit money to your Roadrunner Cash account and then spend that money using your Roadrunner Card while on campus.
WHERE CAN I SPEND ROADRUNNER CASH?
Roadrunner Cash is accepted at the following locations:
- Roadrunner Café
- Rage Café
- Bookstore
- Select vending machines on campus
- Printing locations on campus
- Bursar’s office (for tuition, fees, housing, and parking payments )
- Library Fees and Fines
WHERE CAN I GET MY ROADRUNNER CARD ACCOUNT BALANCE?
- Account holders can check their card balance online 24 hours a day if you register for an account on eAccounts. Through eAccounts you can check your balance, obtain monthly statements, view account activity for the last thirty days, and suspend your card if it is lost or stolen.
- Other ways to check your balance are:
- When you make a purchase with your Roadrunner Card — the balance is printed at the bottom of each receipt;
- When you purchase a drink or snack from a vending machine, the balance is flashed on the card reader display;
- You can get your balance printed at the Library PHiL;
- You can get your balance by stopping by Campus Services.
DOES ROADRUNNER CASH EXPIRE AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER?
No. Roadrunner Cash Account funds never expire. Funds remain on your card until you spend them, graduate, or leave Dalton State.
DOES FREE PRINT MONEY EXPIRE AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER?
Free Print Money rolls over from Fall to Spring and Spring to Summer semesters. Any remaining funds expire at the end of summer semester.
WHY CAN’T I WITHDRAW MONEY FROM MY ROADRUNNER CARD?
Your Roadrunner Card Accounts are designed for campus payment convenience and is not intended to be utilized as a bank account. Campus Services is not a licensed bank and withdrawals prior to graduation or leaving Dalton State are not allowed. When you graduate or leave Dalton State, you can complete a Refund Request Form to obtain remaining funds contained in your Roadrunner Card account. Please note, only balances of $15 or greater are refundable.
I KNOW I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT, WHY AM I UNABLE TO USE VENDING MACHINES?
This can occur when you have exceeded your Daily Unattended Limit. The limit is reset daily at midnight and applies to vending machines only. The “Daily Unattended Limit” is a security feature built into your account. The Daily Unattended Limit is the total amount of money that can be spent in locations where there is no one to verify your identity. Dalton State has set the Daily Unattended Limit to $10. If your card is lost or stolen, this would be the maximum that can be spent from your account at these unattended locations.
Guest Card FAQ

WHAT IS A GUEST CARD?
A Guest Card is issued by Campus Services and can only be used for printing and copying. The card can be purchased from the PHiL in Roberts Library. It can be loaded and reloaded with funds at the PHiL or by visiting Campus Services. No refunds are issued for funds on Guest Cards for any reason.
WHY WOULD I NEED A GUEST CARD?
If you are not a student, faculty, or staff, you need a guest card to print or copy on campus.
DO I NEED TO ADD FUNDS TO MY CARD BEFORE I CAN USE IT?
Yes. The Guest Card does not have money preloaded on it.
CAN I USE A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD TO ADD MONEY TO MY GUEST CARD?
No. Cash or checks are the only accepted forms of payment for Guest Cards.
DO I NEED TO BUY ANOTHER CARD IF MINE RUNS OUT OF MONEY?
No. Guest Cards can be reloaded indefinitely at the PHiL station and at Campus Services in the Lower Level of the Pope Student Center.
ARE GUEST CARDS THE SAME AS ROADRUNNER CARDS?
No. Roadrunner Cards and Guest Cards are completely separate. While either card can be used for printing and copying, the Guest Card can only be used for printing and copying. and are not official identification. Guest Cards do not grant access otherwise intended for Dalton State students and faculty/staff.
