Report and Statistics
Pursuant to 20 U.S.C. Section 1092 (f), the “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act” (“Clery Act”), the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and the Higher Education Opportunity Act, Dalton State College distributes the annual crime statistics and fire safety reports.
Clery Crime Statistics reflect statistics for the past three years related to crimes and incidents reported to DSC Police Department, local law enforcement agencies and campus security authorities (whether the crime occurred on campus, in off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the College, or on public property adjacent to campus).
Fire Statistics are reported per the Department of Education law (Public Law 110-315) stating that all eligible institutions that participate in any Title IV program and maintain on-campus student housing facilities, must publish an annual fire safety report, keep a fire log, and report fire statistics to the Secretary of Education.
