Homecoming Court

The homecoming court is a part of the annual homecoming festivities at Dalton State. The purpose of the court is to recognize members of the student body who make invaluable contributions to the Dalton State community and represent the core ideals of Dalton State as a student leader. Throughout the week of homecoming, these students serve as ambassadors of school spirit and pride as a Dalton State Roadrunner. Voting for Royalty will take place during the month of homecoming, and the winners will be recognized during half-time at the homecoming basketball game.

Qualifications & Nominations

Silver Court

1. Nominees must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
2. Nominees can be any student regardless of class standing, except those graduating by December 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree.
3. Nominees must have a minimum of a 2.5 institutional GPA
4. The two court members with the highest score at the end will be crowned Silver Royalty.

Navy Court

1. Nominees must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
2. Nominees must be graduating by December 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree.
3. Nominees must have a minimum of a 2.75 institutional GPA
4. The two court members with the highest score at the end will be crowned the Navy Royalty.
5. *Note: Students can only hold one winning position per court while attending Dalton State!

Submit a Nomination

Individuals who are nominated will have the opportunity to accept their nomination and will be asked to complete an application. Once applications have been scored, a select group of individuals will be interviewed by a committee of faculty and staff. From those interviewed, the Homecoming Court will be slated and voted on by the entire student body. Each portion of the process will be weighted to determine the winners who will be crowned during halftime at the Homecoming Game.

All Students will receive an email with a link to the ballot when voting opens. You must log in with your Dalton State credentials to cast your vote.
