Why did you choose Dalton State? I choose Dalton State College because it had a great atmosphere with great people. I loved that everyone was so accepting of my culture. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? My favorite professor is Dr. Michael P. Hoff. He creates an open environment for students to truly learn.
What activities are you involved in on campus? I am currently the president of the African Student Association, senator at large, and a student worker at Office of Computing and Information Services.
What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? I love going to the library murder mystery and art showcase.
Where is your favorite study spot? My favorite study spot is in Mashburn Hall study room
Where is your favorite hangout? My favorite hangout place is at the canopy right next to the tennis court and track.
What is the last book you read? “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood
What’s on your iPad? My iPad is full games and word documents.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten
What cheers you up? My sister Ameyo, and my friends, Latifah and Jazmin always know how to cheer me up and help me through tough times. They know me so well, and never let me down.
What is your favorite book? “Walk Two Moons” by Sharon Creech
Who is your hero? My parents will and always be my hero. They have been a true inspiration and motivator in my life.
If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Thurgood Marshall because he is my career inspiration. He was instrumental in ending legal segregation, and later became the first African-American justice of the Supreme Court.
What is your favorite app? My favorite app would be Snapchat; you can be so creative.
Where is your favorite place to eat? My favorite place to eat would Buckin’ Burrito – it also helps that they have a student discount.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? When I was a kid I wanted to be a travel nurse, because I love to travel and I wanted to help people.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being a part of the Roadrunner nation to me means being involved and active in my school, striving to be the best version of myself. It means always staying true to myself and sharing a community that is welcoming, supportive, and welcomes diversity.
