Why did you choose Dalton State? I chose Dalton State because I have always heard great things about their communication degree, and it is fairly close to home which was very nice since I commute every day.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? To be a part of the Roadrunner Nation is to come here every day looking to expand your horizons within many great fields this college has to offer, and to meet many new people and friends as I have, and to give your all each and every day.
What do you plan to do after graduation? Continue to chase after my dream of being known around the world and become one of the greatest actors/voice actors around.
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Jerry Drye because he inspires me to bring a smile to everyone’s face even if they don’t laugh at my jokes, and to not be afraid of speaking in front of a large audience.
Where is your favorite study spot? The Pope Center even though I rarely study when my friends are here.
Where is your favorite hangout? The Pope Center with my awesome group of friends. Without them here pushing me I’d be lost and probably would have not gotten as far as I have.
What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? Meeting the greatest friends I could have ever asked for: Promise, Noah, Jacob, Joey, Leah, Weiss, Becca, Corey, Kelsoe, Kirby, Sport, and everyone else I may have forgot to mention. Without these guys I wouldn’t have had the college experience.
Favorite comfort food? Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Everytime We Touch” by Cascada (Long story)
Favorite line from a movie? “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” – Gandalf the Gray, Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring.
What do you feel most proud of? I’ve told many people that one day I’m going to make it, I’m going to be something big and one day the world will know the name Nic Hamill, and I’ve already got my foot in the door with my intern position with US101 Country Radio Station.
If you won the lottery, what would you do? Pay off all my parents’ debts, mortgages, and bills to repay them for everything they’ve done for me, buy my dream car, Tesla, and probably invest, and save the rest of it, and continue to just live my everyday life with my family and friends, because you can’t buy anything better than that.
What cheers you up? Hanging out with my friends and family. They always keep a smile on my face.
What is your favorite book? The Hobbit
Who is your hero? My mother, because she has pushed me to better myself each and every day. I love my momma and can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for me.
Where is your favorite place to eat? Fuji, can’t beat that awesome sushi.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? An NFL football player.
As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To Run Boldly is to wake up each and every day striving to be the absolute best you can be, grow and become better than who you were the day before. It means overcoming your fears and grow into who you want to be and remembering that through it all God will guide you, as well as your friends. I was very fortunate to have gained so many friends throughout my college experience. Always Run Boldly and Beep, Beep, Dalton State!
