What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? To be bold in everything you do.
What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to enter the actuary field, work, travel, and then I plan to get my master’s in interior design.
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Lirong Yu! She has been my sweetest and most understanding professor. I feel like she really cares for her students and wants everyone to succeed.
What activities are you involved in on campus? I am the cultural awareness chair of the Campus Activities Board, and I am currently working with some mentors to begin a black student union on campus.
What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? Surviving Professor Gewecke’s classes.
What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? I enjoy fine dining at Taqueria el Rey and Casa del Café. However, nothing can top my 2 a.m. runs to Cookout!
Favorite comfort food? Gari fufu and eru.
Favorite line from a movie? In the movie In Time, a character writes on a window “don’t waste my time,” implicating to make the most out of the time given to the main character. There are layers to that line alone. That movie is just incredible!
What do you feel most proud of? I’m most proud of how far I’ve grown, both academically and as a person. I’ve come to realize that life is too short to be a workaholic. Live a little!
If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be? First, my necklace given to me by my best friend. Second and third would be my car and car keys (I love my baby). Fourth would be my poster of The Moon by Alphonse Mucha, and last would be my phone so I could play Genshin Impact.
What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I would really like to learn several languages, mainly French, Spanish, ASL, Korean and Mandarin.
What cheers you up? Sleeping, payday and annoying my friends.
What is your favorite book? I have two! “I Am Not Your Negro” by James Baldwin and “The Seven Husbands” of Evelyn Hugo. They’re both magnificent reads.
If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? I would like to meet Malcom X and listen to what he predicts about the future.
What is your favorite app? Genshin Impact! Razor mains follow me!
Where is your favorite place to eat? Taqueria el Rey for sure! Their tripa burritos are insanely delicious with some avocado.
As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To me, Run Boldly means to dive headfirst into whatever you do. Take that leap of faith and run with confidence; let your momentum and your heart guide you to greatness.
