Why did you choose Dalton State? Economically it made sense. It was the best decision for me financially at the time. I also really enjoyed the small class sizes that allowed students to have a relationship with their professors and their peers.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It means everything to walk alongside so many intelligent and sweet people and know that Dalton State has opened up and will continue to open so many doors for them as well as myself.

What do you plan to do after graduation? Immediately after graduation I want to travel the world. You know, get cultured and stuff.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? It is so difficult to choose just one…So I won’t! Although I have had so many great professors throughout the years I would have to say my favorite professors would have to be Dr. Clint Kinkead and Matt Hipps. They both are absolutely hilarious; they can really keep their students engaged, and they use personal and relatable stories to tie it all together.

Where is your favorite study spot? Other than my room I think my favorite study spot would be the Starbucks on Cleveland Highway.

Where is your favorite hangout? I don’t have a go-to place as long as I am surrounded by my friends I’ll hang out anywhere.

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? I think watching our basketball team win the National Championship was the best memory. Gathering up in the Pope Center and watching it alongside so many other proud Roadrunners was insane. It was amazing to witness the wonderful unity in our community.

Favorite comfort food? Sushi, French fries, and salt and vinegar kettle chips.

Favorite line from a movie? “Jesus, lady! All this for just a hand bag? It’s not ‘just’ a hand bag. It’s Prada!” -White Chicks

What is your guilty pleasure? Singing… anywhere! In my room or on stage somewhere.

What do you feel most proud of? My Hispanic roots.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I’d love to learn how to play the piano. Have you heard the wonderful noise that comes out of those things? Sign me up!

What cheers you up? Music! 1,000 percent.

Who is your hero? Definitely my mom. She’s my favorite human on this entire planet.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Gina Rodriguez

Where is your favorite place to eat? Chick-Fil-A

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A professional singer. (The dream still lives on)

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? Take chances. Run fiercely towards the dreams that seem impossible to achieve, and embrace the journey.
