Why did you choose Dalton State? I chose Dalton State because during my orientation I had a great welcoming from all the kind staff. I knew this was the right place – where I was going to have the opportunity to accomplish my goals.
What do you plan to do after graduation? After graduation, I plan on attending graduate school. I want to become a school psychologist.
What activities are you involved in on campus? I am currently a member of Dalton State’s Orientation Team.
What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? My best memory so far is attending the Southern Region Orientation Workshop earlier this semester. I never thought college could offer such fun adventures! The best part of it was spending time with the whole orientation team and making new memories together.
Where is your favorite study spot? Lower level of the library, near the children’s book section to be exact.
Where is your favorite hangout? Peeples Hall, it has a great view out to the trees and it’s a beautiful building.
Where is your favorite place to eat? IHOP. I could eat there breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

What cheers you up? Nature. I love going on hikes and any other outdoor activities.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? A chef.

Who is your hero? My mommy, she’s the best.

What do you feel most proud of? At the moment I feel super proud of my sister. She will be graduating from DSC this May. And she informed to me that she got accepted to The University of Alabama where she will attain her master’s in social work. She is the first member of the Becerra Family to attend graduate school, and I know how hard it is to even get accepted so I feel extremely proud of her.
What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I would love to be able to play worship songs at my church.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being part of the Roadrunner Nation means growth, opportunity, and diversity. Dalton State offers the opportunity for personal growth. Throughout my college years I’ve learned to be responsible yet, ask for help when needed. The staff at Dalton State are always willing to help those who are in need of help and who ask for it. Also, by having such a diverse campus I have discovered a new way of seeing things. I have the potential to grow, and DSC offers the right amount of resources to help me along my journey.
