Campus Activities Board (CAB) – Applications Open

The Campus Activities Board is a group of students who work with Student Life to plan and implement social, cultural and educational programs for the campus community. Common CAB events include: comedians, music groups, novelty events (decor, art pieces, photobooths) lecture series events and recreational opportunities.

These positions offer students an opportunity to gain valuable experience within leadership, learn how to network and build lifelong skills to complement your academic experience. Positions pay $9.25/hour, and working hours are super flexible!

Birdfeeder

The Birdfeeder is a not-for-profit food pantry created to help meet the basic needs of all Roadrunners. Each year we recruit student leaders to serve as pantry staff. Orientation Team

Orientation Leaders are a group of students who are trained and excited to help welcome the next generation of Roadrunners to campus. These students work together to plan and host first year orientation sessions throughout the summer. If you are interested in joining the orientation team, please reach out to the Orientation Coordinator, Katelyn Humphrey, for the timeline and application materials.

Peer Educators – Applications Open

Peer educators assist other students in developing the skills needed to become independent learners who grow personally and academically.

Positions available include:

One-on-one Tutors
Math & Science Learning Center Assistants
Supplemental Instruction Leaders

These roles offer students an opportunity to gain valuable experience related to their field and develop vital leadership and communication skills. Positions pay $9.25/hour, and working hours can be flexible.

Resident Assistants

Resident Assistants are a group of student leaders who essentially serve as the mayor of a small town (their floor). As the architect of the community, the primary responsibility of the Resident Assistant (RA) in Residential Life is to develop community within a unit by bringing about the realization of the role of each individual within that community. Called upon to respond to changing needs and situations, the RA position is one that requires flexibility, adaptability, enthusiasm, and commitment, as well as strong administrative and peer counseling skills. The areas of responsibilities listed below are a representative of the major expectations of the RA. Additional guidelines are provided in the Resident Assistant Conditions of Employment.

Students Advocating for Volunteer Efforts (SAVE) – Applications Open

SAVE leaders are students who work with Student Life and community organizations to create and host service-learning programs and volunteering opportunities. Examples of SAVE programs include monthly service projects, Days of Service and Alternative Break programming.

Recruiting and hiring occur in March each year.

This position provides students practical opportunities to develop and apply leadership awareness, knowledge, competencies and skills.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association, typically referred to as the SGA, is made up of diverse student representation from the student body, one faculty representative, and one staff representative who are appointed annually. The Student Government Association upholds a commitment to all students of Roadrunner Nation to serve them in whatever way possible
