As a professional school, the Wright School of Business at Dalton State College must remain up-to-date with the ever-changing business world in which our graduates will work and lead. Coordination with the Dean’s Business Advisory Council (BAC) is a critical activity for maintaining our curriculum. Since its formation, the BAC has played an increasingly important role in developing business plans and strategies to guide the School’s future. The advice and insights of these regional leaders have proven invaluable to the WSOB as it continues to grow its reputation for business education.

The BAC, comprised of professional and business executives, meets with the Dean, WSOB faculty, and students at least once per semester to discuss emerging business issues. This ongoing dialogue has shaped the WSOB’s responses to new topics and learning and continues to shape our business curriculum to anticipate the marketplace’s needs. BAC members are also frequent speakers in our business classes and often employ our graduates. We thank these volunteers for their service and dedication to the WSOB and DSC.

WSOB Business Advisory Council members and Community friends mentor students each semester at the etiquette training and practice event over a formal business meal at the Dalton Golf and Country Club.  Students are ready to ace job interviews over a meal.
