Dalton State College welcomes new Director of Government and Alumni Relations

Sam Dindoffer, a Dalton native, recently joined Dalton State College as the director of government and alumni relations.

Dindoffer brings a variety of government relations experience to his role, including working for members of the General Assembly, leading legislative affairs for a state agency, and experience in the private governmental affairs sector, including time on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kennesaw State University.

“I am excited to serve in a role that allows me to work closely with the people and communities across Northwest Georgia,” Dindoffer said. “Dalton State has so much to offer, and we are very blessed to have the institution in our community.”

In his role, Dindoffer will work closely with the University System of Georgia and advocate on behalf of Dalton State with local, state and federal officials. In addition, he will oversee Dalton State’s alumni relations initiatives and work to expand the college’s alumni association, Society ‘63.

“Dalton State is an institution that prioritizes both its student and alumni, and I look forward to being part of that mission,” Dindoffer said. “Most of our graduates settle in Northwest Georgia. Because of this, we have a unique opportunity to support our alumni and keep them engaged and involved with their Alma Mater.”

Society ‘63 will offer a variety of events during the 2024-2025 academic year, including networking, service leadership and philanthropic opportunities. Alumni can join Society ’63 for free or update membership information by emailing [email protected] or completing the new registration/update form.
