The Bachelor of Science in Biology at Dalton State enables you to experience comprehensive learning opportunities geared toward your future in the biological sciences. In the General Biology track you will take many of the same classes as students within the Pre-Health Sciences and the Environmental Biology tracks. These experiences in the General Biology track will give you a broad background in the biological sciences and prepare you for a career with private research companies, government agencies, nonprofits or in the fields of higher education or and environmental science. Outstanding faculty will provide you with first-rate academic preparation for either careers or graduate programs and the courses within this pathway are designed to prepare you for the rigorous entrance exams required for postgraduate education. Many hands-on experiences, such as undergraduate research collaborations, faculty-lead readings in biology, and participation in the award-winning Biology Honors Society club will guide you into your career with confidence.
