Why did you choose Dalton State? It’s affordable, close to home, and provides a great education.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? To be a part of Roadrunner Nation is to experience this weird sense of camaraderie any time you see a car in public with a Dalton State parking decal located on the lower driver’s side of the rear window.
What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to completely demolish my personal finances by traveling all over the world and doing whatever it is that I need to do in order to get a job.
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Though I’ve had so many wonderful professors, Nick Carty has perhaps been my most supportive and influential instructor.
What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? This. And passing basic math courses.
What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? I have a great time walking the wooded trails around Dalton’s campus, and the school’s new observatory over by Beaverdale Elementary is just about the coolest thing since instant oatmeal.
Where is your favorite hangout? The parking garage.

If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be? I’d have to keep my first guitar, a copy of Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell, my dog, my car, and my debit card.
If you won the lottery, what would you do? How much money are we talking?
What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I’ve always wanted to learn how to really play the piano. Once you can do that, you can do anything.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? The 21-year-old version of my grandfather. What a guy.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A garbage man, because they got to ride on the back of garbage trucks.
As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To Run Boldly is to realize that you’ve only got one chance at this whole thing. So you’d better quit doing the things you don’t like to do, and start doing the things you want to do. Find a way to make it work, and stop making excuses.
