Why did you choose Dalton State? Dalton State has always been a goal for me as it is a hometown school, and I am very proud of my hometown. The education quality is amazing; the faculty love what they do, and there are so many things to join and try. I spent four years living in Mexico after I graduated high school and not a day went by where I wouldn’t wish to be back to start my life again. As soon as I had the opportunity, I chose Dalton State and Dalton State chose me.

What activities are you involved in on campus? I am involved in the Orientation Team, and I wish to get involved in the theatre productions we have here.

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? I finished my first semester with a 4.0, and I was accepted onto the Orientation Team! Also at one point I held all three of the Pokemon gyms at Dalton State for Team Mystic.

What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? Going to Civitan park and catching Pokemon for hours and being surrounded by people from all walks of life united under the childhood dream of being able to catch Pokemon, going to Carmike Cinema, going to bowl and then getting a pepperoni calzone from Gondoliers, and hanging out with people that mean a lot to me.

Where is your favorite hangout? Civitan Park

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? Getting to bond with my orientation team and preparing each other for orientation season.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Beautiful Pain” by Eminem

What is your guilty pleasure? Playing Pokemon for hours

What do you feel most proud of? Being able to return home after being away for four years.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? Not tell a single person except the super close ones and do anonymous acts of charity, also spend money on Pokemon Go.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I would like to be good at soccer because I love watching it but cannot play it

Who is your hero? Captain America

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Samuel L. Jackson

What is your favorite app? Pokemon Go

Where is your favorite place to eat? Sonic (half price cheeseburgers day!)

What did you want to be when you were a kid? Happy

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It means that the four years I had to deal with away were all worth it as every day I am reminded of how great Dalton State can be. I feel sorry for the people who only come here for classes and then go home because class is just a single part of the college experience. I am slowly finding out who I really am and growing into who I can become and it’s all thanks to Dalton State College. Being part of the Roadrunner Nation means being a part of something where you can be the very best you possible and succeeding in finding out who that is.
