Why did you choose Dalton State? It was close to home and affordable.
What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to write full time as a New York Times best-selling author, draw, choreograph, make YouTube videos, go to Taekwondo constantly, and just be artsy in general.
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Do I have to pick one!? Well then, it’s a tie between Dr. Michael Hoff, Dr. Leslie Herrelson, Dr. Thomas Veve, and Dr. Larry Sampson. Dr. Hoff because he blows my mind every class, and I feel like I’m learning the secrets to the universe. Dr. Harrelson because she is so committed to student excellence outside the classroom. Dr. Veve because he taught me the wonders of military history, and that’s such a rare subject to get in college. I’m so lucky to have taken his class before he retired. And Dr. Sampson for giving me a love of a subject I never imagined, in my wildest dreams, that I could ever love: history; I can never thank him enough.
What are some of your favorite activities in and around Dalton? I spend most of my time at Master Seo’s Top Martial Arts. Currently I am a third-degree black belt, a part of the competition team, and elite demonstration team, and I choreograph hip-hop/taekwondo routines for the demonstration team.
Where is your favorite hangout? I love hanging out in my room listening to music and drawing, but I also love being at Master Seo’s Top Martial Arts with my friends.
What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? Watching the Roadrunners win the National Championship.
What is the last book you read? “The Girl On The Train” by Paula Hawkins.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Here” by Alessia Cara
Favorite line from a movie? “Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of, who do the things no one can imagine.” – The Imitation Game.
What is your guilty pleasure? Binge watching anime.
What do you feel most proud of? Getting to teach my hip-hop/Taekwondo routines to my teammates on the Master Seo’s Top Martial Arts demonstration team.
What cheers you up? Going to Taekwondo, dancing, drawing, and writing.
What is your favorite book? Anything by Markus Zusak, anything by Maggie Stiefvater, and Andrew Hodges’s “Alan Turing, the Enigma.”
Who is your hero? Bernie Sanders.
Where is your favorite place to eat? At home, with the family.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? A New York Times best-selling author. Not much has changed.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? Being a part of the Roadrunner Nation means a brighter future, a better perspective on life, a louder voice in the world, and learning from some of the coolest people I’ll ever have the honor to meet.
