Why did you choose Dalton State? I needed new scenery, and my cousin graduated from Dalton State, and she recommended it.
What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It means being able to express myself with people from all walks of life and to indulge myself in new experiences and new beginnings.
What do you plan to do after graduation? I’m hoping to get a job working in the public relations department at a zoo or aquarium. I’d love to work at the Chattanooga Aquarium.
Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Marjorie Yambor is my favorite professor because she is always so excited to see everyone and greets you with a smile every time you see her. She’s so enthusiastic and passionate and above all, she is an understanding, kind, and helpful person.
What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? I made the dean’s list three times, and I’m extremely proud of that.
Where is your favorite study spot? Aside from the library, I’d have to say the cafeteria. Food is always a good motivator for me.
What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? My best memory so far has been attending Rage Days. It was the most amazing weekend I have ever had, and it was there that I made friends that I know I will have for life. I’m very thankful to have been able to go.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? “Gold Steps” by Neck Deep
What is your guilty pleasure? Embarrassingly enough, listening to the Jonas Brothers from time to time.
What do you feel most proud of? How successful I’ve been in my academic career despite my depression, anxiety and ADD. It’s been a tough road, but I’ve come so far and I’m beyond proud of myself!
What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I’d love to learn sign language! I think it would be nice to interact with deaf people and befriend them. I think it’s important for me to break barriers that keep us from communicating and interacting with one another.
What cheers you up? Other than my friends, I’d definitely have to say my pets. I have eight of them.
Who is your hero? Other than my mom, I’d have to say the Crimson Chin from The Fairly Odd Parents.
Who would play you in the movie version of your life? I’d have to say Jennifer Lawrence, even though she looks nothing like me. We are both very quirky, and I think she’d do a wonderful job.
If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Either Robin Williams or Socrates!
What is your favorite app? I have a love hate relationship with Snapchat, but it’s definitely my favorite.
Where is your favorite place to eat? Anyone who truly knows me knows that I love Taco Bell.
As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? It means not being afraid to ask for help when you need it, and knowing that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength! It also means being there to help people when you have the opportunity and the ability to do so.
