Why did you choose Dalton State? I have a lot of reptiles and finding an apartment that would allow me to keep them at all is pretty much impossible. So, going away for college was not an option. Dalton State is nearby and offers a bachelor’s in biology, and that’s exactly what I want!

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? I am proud of the incredible experiences I have been able to be a part of, and the doors that have opened for me while I’ve been here!

What activities are you involved in on campus? On campus I am involved in Turtle Assurance Colony and BetaChiNu.

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? Winning a scholarship for undergraduate research for two years in a row, with my partners, for the amphibian survey we are conducting at Lakeshore Park. Also, being a TAC team member for the last 2-3 years.

Where is your favorite study spot? On my couch with Family Guy playing in the background.

Where is your favorite hangout? Chattanooga Billiards Club

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? That would be the day that we hatched out two Kinixys homeana at TAC. I had never been around tortoises that were hatching, and it has changed my life. It’s something I plan to be around for the rest of my life.

What is the last book you read? “World of Warcraft: Wolfheart”

Favorite comfort food? Panera Bread’s broccoli and cheddar soup

Favorite line from a movie? “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.” Dr. Alan Grant: “Mr. Hammond, after careful consideration I’ve decided not to endorse your park.” – Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)

What is your guilty pleasure? Playing “World of Warcraft” whenever the semester is out.

If you won the lottery, what would you do? I would create a breeding facility for endangered reptiles and amphibians. Then I would buy a nice house right above Florida and have a farm.

What cheers you up? Being around reptiles in any way. I could be cleaning after them, feeding them, or even just hanging out in my reptile room, working on building an enclosure.

What is your favorite book? “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World” by Michael Crichton

What is your favorite app? Either Instagram or Pocketfrogs

Where is your favorite place to eat? Panera Bread for life

What did you want to be when you were a kid? When I was a kid I wanted to be a jockey and ride race horses my whole life, or become a paleontologist.

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? Run without fear, run with pride, and do what you love without regret.
