Why did you choose Dalton State? I chose Dalton State because it is an affordable college that was also close to home. I stayed because of the incredible support system I have gained while being a student here.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It means so much to be a part of Roadrunner Nation. I have grown so much during my time at Dalton State, and I couldn’t be more thankful for this growing community.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to get my master’s in social work and to give back to my community.

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? Each of the social work professors have impacted my life so much that it’s too hard to pick just one. I am so appreciative of all they do to provide us with the tools to receive the best education and be competent social workers. 

What are some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? I made the Dean’s List multiple times, and I’m president of the social work club.

Where is your favorite study spot? Anywhere that is quiet

What is your best memory as far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? As part of the social work club I volunteered at the City of Refuge. It was an incredible experience.

What is the last book you read? “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls

Favorite comfort food? My grandmother’s fried chicken and biscuits

If you had a theme song, what would it be? “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor

If you won the lottery, what would you do? Pay the rest of my mom’s mortgage, and turn a bus into a mobile shower and laundry service for homeless people.

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I would love to be fluent in Spanish.

What cheers you up? My two puppies, Chloe and Charlie

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Jane Addams

Where is your favorite place to eat? My grandmother’s house

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be a counselor or Britney Spears.  

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? To run boldly means to give 100 percent in everything you do, to never stop achieving the goals that you set for yourself, and to always aim high. To run boldly means to do more than what is expected.
