National and Regional Rankings

The Student Experience ranking is based on three categories – campus facilities, community and social life, and diversity on campus.

Dalton State is number one in Georgia and ranked 52 nationally among public four-year institutions for net price. Net price includes in-state tuition and fees and other costs associated with being a student, such as books, supplies, room and board, and transportation after all financial aid is applied.

Dalton State ranked No. 11 in the Top Public Schools in the South category and 41 (tie) for Best Regional Colleges in the South.

Dalton State ranked No. 1 Best Value in Georgia for affordability and quality academics.

Dalton State College is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to the Great Colleges to Work For® program. The results, released today in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a survey of 216 colleges and universities. Dalton State is the only public college in Georgia on the 2024 list.
