Financial Fitness Learning Center Helps Students Manage Their Money

Concerned about having enough money while in college?

“Anyone who has any sort of question regarding finances should pay us a visit,” said Hanna Poe, a peer educator at the Financial Fitness Learning Center. Students can receive personal finance education for a variety of topics in the center.

“We can help with so many topics and it is a cool place to visit in-between classes too!”

The Financial Fitness Learning Center assists students who are in need of help budgeting. It also helps students create a savings plan and has information about other ways to manage money effectively. In recent years, 30% of students who withdrew from all classes listed financial hardships as the reason for withdrawing, so the Financial Fitness Learning Center was created.

The center is open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in room 103 of the Lorberbaum Hall. One-on-one appointments can be scheduled at dalton.tutorocean.com and a full list of other topics can be found at https://daltonstate.edu/skins/userfiles/files/Financial%20Fitness%20General%20Informational.pdf
